Martin's novel "Fire & Blood" and will delve into the history of House Targaryen, set approximately 300 years before the events of the original series.
According to HBO Max, the series will explore the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty, focusing on the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war known as the "Dance of the Dragons." The show will feature an ensemble cast, including Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen.
