Early Life and Rise to Fame

Amanda Leigh Moore was born on April 10, 1984, in Nashua, New Hampshire. Her mother, Stacy Friedman, is a former newspaper editor, and her father, Donald Moore, is a pilot. Moore began singing at a young age and performed in various local talent shows. In 1999, she signed a record deal with Epic Records and released her debut single, "Candy." The song peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and launched her career as a pop star.

Albums and Acting Roles

Moore has released seven studio albums throughout her career, including So Real (1999), I Wanna Be with You (2000), and Amanda Leigh (2003). She has also starred in several films, such as A Walk to Remember (2002), How to Deal (2003), and Because I Said So (2007). In recent years, Moore has gained recognition for her role as Rebecca Pearson in the popular television series This Is Us (2016-2022).

Current Projects

Moore continues to be active in both music and acting. In 2020, she released her eighth studio album, Silver Landings. She is currently working on a new television series titled Dr. Death, which is based on the true crime podcast of the same name.
