Argentina Held to 0-0 Draw by Colombia in Copa America Final
First Half Ends in Deadlock
Buenos Aires, Argentina - Defending champions Argentina were held to a goalless draw by Colombia in the first half of the 2024 Copa America final on Saturday night. Both teams had chances to open the scoring, but neither could break the deadlock.
Argentina came close on several occasions, with Lionel Messi hitting the post in the opening minutes and Angel Di Maria firing just wide later in the half. Colombia also had their chances, with Luis Muriel coming closest when his shot was saved by Emiliano Martinez.
The second half is now underway, and both teams will be looking to break the deadlock and claim the Copa America title.
