## More Main Draw Success For MSU ### Spartans Advance Three Singles Players, Two Doubles Teams to NCAA Championships **East Lansing, Mich.** - The Michigan State women's tennis team will send three singles players and two doubles teams to the NCAA Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday. Senior Lexi Baylis, junior Marina Bohrer and freshman Maja Pietrowicz all earned bids to the singles tournament, while the duos of Baylis and Bohrer and Pietrowicz and sophomore Emily Metcalf will compete in the doubles tournament. The NCAA Championships will be held from May 23-28 at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Illinois. "We are so excited to have five student-athletes representing Michigan State at the NCAA Championships," said MSU head coach Shelly Budnik. "This is a great accomplishment for our program and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players. We are looking forward to competing at the highest level and representing Michigan State with pride." Baylis, a three-time All-Big Ten selection, is making her third appearance at the NCAA Championships. She is currently ranked No. 104 in the ITA singles rankings. Bohrer, a two-time All-Big Ten selection, is making her second appearance at the NCAA Championships. She is currently ranked No. 58 in the ITA singles rankings. Pietrowicz is making her first appearance at the NCAA Championships. She is currently ranked No. 21 in the ITA singles rankings. The duo of Baylis and Bohrer is ranked No. 38 in the ITA doubles rankings. The duo of Pietrowicz and Metcalf is ranked No. 69 in the ITA doubles rankings. The NCAA Championships will be the culmination of a successful season for the Spartans. MSU finished the season with a 20-9 record, including a 9-2 mark in Big Ten play. The Spartans finished second in the Big Ten regular season standings and reached the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
